Vendor Process Engineer

As our Vendor Process Engineer, your Key Accountabilities will involve:

•         Carry out Vendor Approval/Surveillance audits to ensure that suppliers are capable of meeting our quality requirements on a continuous basis
•          Ensure that “First Articles” are carried out to verify that all parts meet their Dimensional and Functional requirements
•          Manage suppliers on an ongoing basis via regular contact, periodic audits and other methods to guarantee consistent high quality performance on an ongoing basis
•          Lead cross functional QIT’s to resolve Quality issues at suppliers
•         Participate in cross functional teams to review process improvements/ optimizations at suppliers through PFMEA’s and control plans
•         Represent the Vendor Engineering function on Component/Site Transfers and support prototype builds at vendors facility

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

·         Engineering Degree (Level 8) with at least 3 years in Electronics, Manufacturing, or Mechanical environment

Preferred requirements:

•          Experience in a PCBA or electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing environment
•          Knowledge of Six Sigma tools
•         Lean training / certification or experience in leading Lean events (Kaizen’s / VSM’s etc)
•         Strong project management and communications skills
•         Must have demonstrated technical creativity and innovation

• Lead Auditor certification an advantage.
• Strong personal initiative and strong interpersonal skills
• Understanding of Quality System Requirements
