Mechanical Technician III (R&D)

To be considered for this role, you must hold a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science Degree or Associate of Science Degree in a related discipline, with 4+ years of experience using testing equipment such as Instron.

Exceptionally qualified candidates will have the following experiences and abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Proficient in mechanical disciplines
• Demonstrated hands-on capabilities
• Ability to independently apply and use technical principles, theories, and concepts to provide creative solutions to a variety of problems of increasing complexity
• Ability to use statistical techniques to analyze data
• Demonstrated technical writing skills
• Experience in prototyping using mechanical tooling such as a bandsaw, lathe and drill press
• Experience testing in a regulated environment
• Experience using Agile as a documentation system
• Prefer candidates to understand clinical/technical applications of surgical products and human anatomy
• Ability to manage day to day operations of the laboratory
• People skills to understand cultural differences, adapts quickly, and collaborates effectively
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-functional and matrixed team environment
• Able to give instructions, both written and verbal to other technicians
• Good writing and documentation skills
• Good organizational skills
