Mechanical Technician III (R&D)
To be considered for this role, you must hold a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science Degree or Associate of Science Degree in a related discipline, with 4+ years of experience using testing equipment such as Instron.
Exceptionally qualified candidates will have the following experiences and abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Proficient in mechanical disciplines
- Demonstrated hands-on capabilities
- Ability to independently apply and use technical principles, theories, and concepts to provide creative solutions to a variety of problems of increasing complexity
- Ability to use statistical techniques to analyze data
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
- Experience in prototyping using mechanical tooling such as a bandsaw, lathe and drill press
- Experience testing in a regulated environment
- Experience using Agile as a documentation system
- Prefer candidates to understand clinical/technical applications of surgical products and human anatomy
- Ability to manage day to day operations of the laboratory
- People skills to understand cultural differences, adapts quickly, and collaborates effectively
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-functional and matrixed team environment
- Able to give instructions, both written and verbal to other technicians
- Good writing and documentation skills
- Good organizational skills
