Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have
Highly Preferred:
- Minimum of a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant Engineering/Material Science discipline preferred, or Equivalent Years of Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant microfabrication/ SMT experience
- 3 years of experience as multidiscipline engineer with experience implementing vision inspection systems in manufacturing.
- Process characterization and optimization using DOE methodology; FMEA experience desired
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for plant operations.
- Subject matter expert and management of inspection systems and metrology equipment used in manufacturing.
- Work closely with cross functional groups to identify, implement and scale up of new measurement technologies.
- Develop control methods to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Work with operations to determine sources of variability, equipment downtime, and yield improvements, and put plans in place to positively impact overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Support operations in finding ways to standardize equipment and document procedures across multiple lines.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems composed of vision systems, PLCs, PC’s, and manufacturing data collection system
- Skill Requirements in software such as
- Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office
- Manufacturing Execution System (e.g., Factory Works)
- Quality system Software
- Statistical software (e.g., SPC, Jump and/or Minitab)
- Process Control Plan (PCP)
- Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment (MVP/Koh Young/ August, etc.) and analysis software.
Other Nice to Have:
- Experience with use of statistical process control and data analysis tools.
- Experience with Lean Sigma/DFSS/DRM/DMAIC methodology
- Experience with IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies Class 1, Class 2, Class 3
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment with production personnel, equipment supplier, Process Engineering, and other Functional Groups (Component, Product etc.) on continuous improvement projects.
- Process sustaining expertise in a high-volume manufacturing environment or 24x7 operations support
- Applies sound engineering principles to solve complex non-contact measurement and inspection challenges.
- Knowledge of micro-electronic packaging manufacturing technologies and equipment and processes including Die Attach, Wirebond, Transfer Mold, Direct Chip Attach, solder paste and reflow processes, PWB final sizing technologies including mechanical Rout/De-panel, Wet Saw Singulation and Excise, and dimensional verification using optical metrologies for packaging assembly.
