Senior Scientist
• PhD degree in biomedical engineering, biotechnology
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology
• Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics
• 0-3 years medical device experience with PhD
• BS or MS degree in biomedical engineering, biotechnology, physiology, cell biology or mechanical engineering with life science emphasis.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology.
• 4-7 years medical device experience with BS, +2 years medical device experience with MS.
• Experience with preclinical protocol development and conducting animal research
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• The candidate must work well in the early stages of a project when many aspects of the task are not well defined.
• Ability to work across functions and across businesses.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of tissue processing and tissue valve design.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular imaging modalities and applications.
• Experience conducting human clinical feasibility studies
• Implantable cardiac mechanical device experience
• Experience with preclinical GLP studies
• Experience with post-processing of CT data (Mimics or 3Mensio)
• Experience with catheter-based procedures
