- Requires a High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
Nice to Have:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical program or other technical training/certification.
- Experience in Cardiac Surgery R&D environment.
- 10+ years Previous medical device experience.
- Background and applied / specific experience within Research and Product Development working with matrixed teams in support of and alongside senior and principal engineers
- Ability to use statistical techniques to analyze data.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills.
- Ability to manage day to day operations of the laboratory.
- Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
- Prefer candidates to have an understanding of clinical / technical applications of surgical products and human anatomy.
- Experience in modeling, prototyping, crafting, building, machining, fabrication by hand or other skills that support good design and experimenting is highly desired. Shows a desire and ability in the general skill set of building or making things.
- Experience with GMP and GDP requirements.
- Knowledge of the English and Metric measuring systems with the ability to perform mathematical conversions to each.
- Technical Writing Skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite and Minitab.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Change management and technical documentation experience.
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
