Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Must Have:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Engineering required

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience

 

Nice to Have:

·         Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management

·         High energy level, capable to handle multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.

·         Well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities.

·         Must be proficient with CAD , PPAPs, GDT, tolerance stack-up analysis, DOEs and process validations.

·         Must have working knowledge of various manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, injection molding, machining, cutting, and extrusions,

·         Knowledge of Laser welding is a plus.

·         Must have experience in budgeting process.

·         Ability to define problem, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 

·         Ability to effectively present information to large groups.

·         Good communication skills (presentation, written, and oral).  Proven leadership skills. 

·         Must be able to recognize and support plants performance and priorities.

·         Advocate a team concept. Proven ability to motivate personnel to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.

·         Must possess a track record of continual improvement using LEAN fundamentals.

·         Minimum of four years medical device or drug manufacturing experience is highly desired.

·         Six years of experience with automated production and packaging equipment.

·         Strong oral and written communication, computer (Word, Excel).

·         Strong organizational skills.  

 

Physical Requirements:

·         Usual office environment with frequent* sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, stooping and occasional* climbing.

·         Frequent* use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery.

·         Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone. 

·         Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally* and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.

Definitions:

Occasional:         Activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.

Frequent: Activity exists between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
