Finance Director, Americas Supply Chain Controller
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
CPA / Master's Degree preferred
Strong quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong accounting (GAAP), financial and business management foundation
Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel - including use of macros and lookup tables, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong organizational skills
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to interface in a team environment with various levels of management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to initially travel significantly to US Distribution centers for a 3 to 6 month period
Business partnering: Identifies a broad range of business issues and provides leadership in the decision-making process, actively participates in managing the business and establishing its strategic direction.
Finance and accounting knowledge: Demonstrates a broad and in-depth understanding of Accounting and Finance. Understands, interprets, and applies accounting principles and processes to ensure compliance with legal, business accounting, and ethical standards.
Financial analysis: Organizes and structures business information to identify specific risks and opportunities. Applies quantitative and qualitative factors, skills and business experience, to arrive at meaningful conclusions and recommendations. Develops innovative alternatives and solutions when issues arise.
Internal controls: Understands and effectively applies internal control principles and objectives, including Medtronic's Key Corporate Policies.
Planning & reporting: Accurately monitors and projects the organization's financial performance. Provides performance measures and interprets results in view of plans and objectives.
- Professional effectiveness/ Leadership competencies: Ability to operate within a complex organization. Strong influence management skills demonstrate superior judgment, shape business results, inspire others to excel, communicate with impact, demand ethical behavior, and drive execution.
