Commercial Lawyer
- Canadian Law Degree and strong academic credentials in Common Law from a duly accredited Canadian law school
- Member in good standing of a Canadian Bar
- 5+ years of legal experience in a large or significant firm and/or corporate setting.
- Previous in-house experience with medical device or other life science company
- Experience in counseling on corporate, commercial, procurement and privacy issues
- Strong business acumen
- Customer focused and problem-solving skills
- Healthcare compliance experience
- Healthcare, competition or advertising law experience
- Ability to identify legal issues
- Exceptional advocacy and negotiating skills
- Analytical risk identification, evaluation and management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates strong analytical thinking ability
- Flexibility, adaptability, pragmatism, responsiveness and collegiality
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and on multiple projects at the same time
- Superior common sense and judgment
- Integrity and strong ethical centre
- Proactive and positive attitude
- French Language Proficiency considered an asset
- Capable of inspiring trust and confidence of client groups
