- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, in digital, analog and RF circuit design
Nice to Have
- MS Electrical Engineering
- 8 or more years in one or more of the following: RF ablation generator design, medical device design, embedded microcontroller/microprocessor system design
- Strong knowledge of RF circuit design
- Specific knowledge of Domestic and International standards for RF Ablation Generators
- Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing test equipment design and LabView is a plus
- Knowledge of the implementation of standardized radios such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular (GSM) and Zigbee is a plus
- Knowledge of the application of DSPs is a plus
- Experience working with vendors and contract manufacturers for PCB fabrication and assembly is a plus
- Experience writing embedded firmware in assembly and/or C/C++ is a plus
- Experience with Cybersecurity and FDA guidance on Cybersecurity for medical device manufacturers
- Strong knowledge of formal PCBA documentation (schematics, PCB fabrication drawing, PCB assembly)
- Strong experience in technical specification and report writing
- Must be able to mentor, provide guidance and review the work of less experienced engineers
- Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results
- Mastery of basic laboratory instruments and tools (e.g. DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer)
- Ability to work in a team environment; strong collaboration skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
