Basic Qualifications

1. Currently pursuing a degree in a design-related discipline (Human Factors, Ergonomics, Design, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Biomedical engineering, or equivalent) and intending to return to school after the internship.
2. Intending to return to school after your internship.
3. Experience designing and conducting usability studies and/or field research.
4. Able to relocate to Minneapolis for 12 months, starting in June 2020.
5. Legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Currently pursuing an advanced degree.
2. Knowledge of usability and user interface design methodologies and principles. 
3. Experience designing for web, mobile, and desktop apps.
4. Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Axure, Balsamiq, Visio or similar tools for generating prototypes.
5. Ability to do sketches and computer rendering.
6. Ability to execute task design concepts and ideas in 2-D or 3-D and integrate form and function into product designs.
7. General knowledge of statistics and statistical data analysis techniques and tools. 
8. Good oral and written communication skills. 
9. Willingness to travel (up to 10% of time). 
10. Openness to learn applied human factors and interest in medical devices domain.
