Engineer Intern Human Factors and User Experience
Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in a design-related discipline (Human Factors, Ergonomics, Design, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Biomedical engineering, or equivalent) and intending to return to school after the internship.
- Intending to return to school after your internship.
- Experience designing and conducting usability studies and/or field research.
- Able to relocate to Minneapolis for 12 months, starting in June 2020.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an advanced degree.
- Knowledge of usability and user interface design methodologies and principles.
- Experience designing for web, mobile, and desktop apps.
- Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Axure, Balsamiq, Visio or similar tools for generating prototypes.
- Ability to do sketches and computer rendering.
- Ability to execute task design concepts and ideas in 2-D or 3-D and integrate form and function into product designs.
- General knowledge of statistics and statistical data analysis techniques and tools.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel (up to 10% of time).
- Openness to learn applied human factors and interest in medical devices domain.
