Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
For degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A).
Minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and executing test protocols for embedded systems if having a Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience if having a Master’s degree.
Must be able to read and understand ‘c’ code although programming experience is not essential.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Strong emphasis on process.
Nice to Have Requirements
Experience in testing software for electro-mechanical systems. White box testing experience a strong plus.
Experience in automated software test using tools such as Vectorcast.
Strong analytical, prioritization, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of V&V methods for safety critical, fault tolerant real-time. software.
Knowledge of IEC 62304 standard.
Experience with embedded real-time operating systems.
Knowledge of basic electronics, and ability to use common electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE: Reports to: R&D Manager or Principal Embedded Engineer WORKING CONDITIONS: Standard office setting, clean room, surgical lab, operating room, pilot lab, external research organizations, supplier visits, travel as required Based in North Haven, CT.
