Manufacturing Engineer II - 2nd Shift

• Bachelor’s degree required and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
• Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through education combined with experience. 

Nice to Have:

• Degree in Engineering.  Strong preference for Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics or Polymer Science.
• Master’s degree helpful.
• Six Sigma, Constraint Management and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Project management experience.
• 3-5 of years increasingly complex engineering responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with Medtronic.
• Engineering experience with disposable medical devices.
• Equipment and process Design and Development.
• Experience with developing equipment and related processes especially molding equipment and polymer bonding.
• 2-5 years’ experience in an ISO13485/GMP environment.
• Internship and/or Co-op experience while in college.
• Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of injection molding and knowledge of injection molded tool design for thermoplastics.
• Demonstrated computer skills such as Solidworks, Moldflow Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with developing equipment and related processes especially molding equipment and polymer bonding.
• Working knowledge of Statistics / Minitab Statistical Software.
• Process Engineering experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other Regulated Industry.
• Working knowledge of Moldflow.
• Working knowledge of Design of Experiments.
• Familiarity with Insert injection molding and vertical injection molding systems.
• Experience in process and equipment validation.
