Manufacturing Engineer II - 2nd Shift

- Bachelor’s degree required and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
- Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through education combined with experience.
Nice to Have:
- Degree in Engineering. Strong preference for Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics or Polymer Science.
- Master’s degree helpful.
- Six Sigma, Constraint Management and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Project management experience.
- 3-5 of years increasingly complex engineering responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with Medtronic.
- Engineering experience with disposable medical devices.
- Equipment and process Design and Development.
- Experience with developing equipment and related processes especially molding equipment and polymer bonding.
- 2-5 years’ experience in an ISO13485/GMP environment.
- Internship and/or Co-op experience while in college.
- Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of injection molding and knowledge of injection molded tool design for thermoplastics.
- Demonstrated computer skills such as Solidworks, Moldflow Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with developing equipment and related processes especially molding equipment and polymer bonding.
- Working knowledge of Statistics / Minitab Statistical Software.
- Process Engineering experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other Regulated Industry.
- Working knowledge of Moldflow.
- Working knowledge of Design of Experiments.
- Familiarity with Insert injection molding and vertical injection molding systems.
- Experience in process and equipment validation.
