• Minimum of a B.S. in a relevant Engineering discipline preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
• Process characterization and optimization using DOE methodology; FMEA experience required
• Sound working knowledge of GD&T principles and ability to interpret engineering drawings/models for machine programming and tolerance analysis
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant microfabrication/ SMT experience
• Process sustaining expertise in a high-volume manufacturing environment or 24x7 operations support
• Direct experience with SMT pick and place process (KnS / Assembleon equipment preferred)
• Direct experience with process validation activities (IQ, Process characterization, MSA, Process Qualification)
• Fundamental understanding of SMT Minimum of 5 years’ experience in microelectronics assembly packaging process
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for plant operations.
• Develop control methods to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Work with operations to determine sources of variability, equipment downtime, and yield improvements, and put plans in place to positively impact overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Support operations in finding ways to standardize equipment and document procedures across multiple lines.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems composed of vision systems, PLCs, PC’s, and manufacturing data collection system
• Experience with use of statistical process control and data analysis tools.
• Experience with Lean Sigma/DFSS/DRM/DMAIC methodology
• Experience with IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies Class 1, Class 2, Class 3
• Work closely with cross functional groups to identify, implement and scale up of new measurement technologies.
