Sr Principal Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer - Surgical Robotics
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
Minimum of 7 years of relevant manufacturing test engineering or product development experience, or advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience
Experience reading software logs and interfacing with software tools
Works well in a team
Develops work products that reflect highly professional standards
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English required
Prior experience in system-level development of a complex electro-mechanical system
Prior experience with medical capital equipment, including troubleshooting and software installation
Experience with Linux, shell scripting, software installation, etc.
Experience with electro-mechanical devices controlled by software.
Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
Working experience in full-lifecycle engineering programs and processes
Demonstrated skills in managing priorities and coordinating team activities
Experience working with multiple teams on concurrent, interdependent projects
Familiar with manufacturing test software tools such as LabView, Test Stand and Python.
Experience creating test automation with test measurement equipment
DFLSS or LSS certification
Working knowledge of SQC and gauge repeatability and reproducibility
Process oriented and committed to continuous improvements
Knowledge of relevant technologies including:
Mechatronics / Robotics
Mechanical and electrical interfaces
Communication protocols
Sensors, actuators, controllers
Kinematics of mechanisms
Vision and display systems
Good understanding of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, documentation, rigorous verification, etc.) Engineering verification test development and execution
Understanding and experience with system reliability testing and service.
Experience with QNX and knowledge of C and C++.
Medical device development experience
Knowledge of medical product R&D and clinical/regulatory process
Working Conditions
Standard manufacturing setting, pilot lab, external research organizations, supplier visits
Travel and flexible hours as needed
