JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Marketing
Having a moderate level of Supervision is responsible for:
Develop and manage strategies that will increase and exceed revenue and market share objectives for the Region.
Develop and manage a deep business, customer and industry knowledge.
Develop and manage clinical knowledge and links with leading physicians and key opinion leaders.
Use ones knowledge for the economic and regulatory environment opportunities.
Work closely with the Country Leader and Latin America Business Unit leader to formulate business strategies and work with distributors and direct sales team to implement strategies and action plans for their territories.
Establish and manage sales forecasts and set sales targets for distributors and sales teams.
Review and track sales performance versus plan; work with sales teams as appropriate to resolve issues.
Review and track inventory levels to ensure the optimum level of efficiency.
Develop and implement pricing strategies, negotiating with distributors and customers to achieve successful long term businesses success.
Manage direct marketing and training resources on education programs, product launches and other marketing and education related programs, according to LATAM regional strategies.
Partners with functional areas (HR & Finance) to assist in annual business revenue forecasting process, sales force size and structure assessment
People Management
Manage the motivation and performance and development of the sales team and distributors.
Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization and that emphasizes the identified mission, guiding principles, and quality of the organization.
Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.
Work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire talent that meets and exceeds performance needs.
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows exchanging ideas, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together.
Administration
Responsible for administrative duties such as budgeting, expense and revenue management, etc.
Performs other duties in line with business needs.
Travel requirements: 40-60%
EDUCATION
BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related
Proficiency in English and Spanish (read, write, speak)
EXPERIENCE
Strong sales management experience
Solid experience in managing sales groups and distributors
Relevant medical industry experience
Understanding of hospital economies, hospital supplies and the economic buyer
Excellent understanding of Regional business procedures.
Experience with maximizing distributor networks.
Experience with direct sales business model
