Senior Manager Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis for one of the biggest unit at India Medtronic. This person will work closely with business team including the sales team, distributors, financial accounting team and the CFO. Reporting is to the CFO and working closely with head of business unit. It is a highly visible role within the company with exposure to the senior management and operations teams across the country and region lead markets. This person will be supported by a team of 2-3 people reporting directly and indirectly into this position   

A Day in the Life

·           Collaborate as a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team to drive business strategy and achieve results through effective partnership with sales, marketing, and supply operations.

·           Take functional responsibility for establishing a robust governance and control framework, overseeing financial operations, managing working capital and cash flow effectively.

·           Provide leadership to a team, focusing on individual development and succession planning. Focus on developing individuals and teams to nurture future leaders at the next level.

·           Offer analytical and business partnering support for assigned business(es), including financial statement analysis, gross margin analysis, performance commentary, and forecasting for various levels of management and the business unit.

·           Analyze both income and expense lines of the P&L and prepare various management information system (MIS) reports in a timely manner.

·           Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly reports for the assigned business for management reviews including supporting consolidation of India Medtronic results .

·           Support business with various pricing strategies, competitive understanding, and decision-making analytics.

·           Prepare strategic plans for assigned business(es) in collaboration with Business leaders , CFO, and regional teams.

·           Provide P&L overview along with variance analysis of actual versus planned numbers, collaborating with the business team to drive gross margin and operating margin improvements. Identify opportunities for operational leverage and process improvements.

·           Understand trends and communicate plan results to business partners in a timely manner.

·           Develop, implement, and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability to provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools for establishing goals and measuring performance.

·           Regularly communicate financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, and suggest strategic implications. Coordinate capital spending review process for assigned business(es).

·           Lead scenario modeling efforts for portfolio development and growth. Participate as a key thought leader in the global finance team, managing finance staff across multiple locations.

·           Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of corporate accounting consolidation, closing processes, and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysis.

·           Develop and execute processes for routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools.

·           Lead strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for assigned business(es).

·           Monitor competitive dynamics of sectors for assigned business(es) and collaborate with sector associates.

·           Possess knowledge of accounting/finance multi-entity integration, collaborating with accounting team to streamline processes and reports.

·           Ensure internal controls in FP&A area and support statutory and corporate audits.

·           Collaborate with CFO to drive digital agenda and finance optimization, including implementing business intelligence tools and dashboard reports.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Qualifications Expected:

·           Over a 10 +year of FP&A and accounting experience , demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility, particularly in international settings.

·           Essential experience in leading teams.

·           Preference for candidates with CA/MBA Finance qualifications and prior Big 4 exposure.

·           Favorable consideration for those with commercial or operational backgrounds.

·           Demonstrated passion and resilience to drive significant change.

·           Exceptional professional communication and writing abilities.

·           Proficiency in Hyperion, Oracle, and SAP systems.

·           Familiarity with Medtronic core competencies.
