Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have

1)    Formal training in Project Management

2)    PMP certified

3)    Hands-on experience managing projects at multiple sites in different geographic locations

4)    Thrive in navigating a matrixed organizational structure

5)    Medical Device / Pharmaceuticals industry experience is preferred.

6)     Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

7)    Microsoft Project

8)    Lean mfg – or green belt

9)    Team management; move from formation to execution

DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS

·      Autonomy: Manages large team which would typically consist of both experienced professionals and managers. Turns the department strategy into a reality by developing, communicating, and implementing program plans to achieve business results. Receives assignments in objective oriented terms; has latitude to reinterpret objectives.

      • Performs work without appreciable direction and composure under pressure. 
      • Experience leading large projects involving integration of hardware/software solutions in Operations/manufacturing plants.

o   Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex and “technical speak” into business terminology and collaborate across matrixed team.

o   Strong situational leadership and people management skills with strong emotional intelligence

o   Experience working with Agile methodologies, with a focus on delivering software quickly and efficiently.

·      Organizational Impact: Initiates programs or projects based on identified business and / or tactical needs. Decisions impact projects or operations, affect the deadlines, resources, and funds, and the achievement of organizational objectives. Typically has budget or P&L accountability for a department, function or geography.

o   Demonstrated ability to drive changes, foster innovation, and adapt to evolving business needs and technologies.

o   Excellent decision-making skills - ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments - makes timely decisions in the face of risk and uncertainty.

o   Experience in Identifying risks and implementing risk mitigations into project plans as well as project schedule recovery planning and execution.

o   Proven track record of successfully leading and managing matrixed teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

·      Innovation and Complexity: Develops new objectives, new operating policies, products, processes, and standards in support of the job function strategy. Problems and issues faced are complex, difficult, and undefined, and require detailed information.

o   Work independently, be self-motivating, and act as a change agent to deploy change management/culture change.

o   Proven experience deploying solutions at scale to multiple manufacturing sites that involve integration of hardware/software solutions.

o   Proven experience in change management, risk management and embedding Project Management disciplines and governance in an organization.

o   Experience working in a medical device/ regulated / FDA (Food and Drug Administration) environment.
