Sr Controls Software Tools Engineer – Surgical Robotics
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 4 years of experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
Nice to Have
Proficient use of modeling & simulation software using MATLAB and Simulink
Strong coding skills in C/C++ (including object-oriented techniques)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics or equivalent technical discipline
Familiarity with multi-body kinematics and dynamics
Design of position, velocity, and torque feedback controllers
Working knowledge of design and development of complex electromechanical systems
Experience in Linux and Windows application programming and scripting.
Strong coding skills in Python
Experience with QNX operating system
Background in robotics, controls or sensors strongly preferred
Basic understanding of standard OS features (e.g. threading and concurrency, memory management, device drivers, I/O, etc.) is strongly preferred
Familiarity with real-time operating systems such as QNX is a plus
RTI DDS and other common networking protocols
Familiarity with Agile software development processes
Working Conditions:
Work-from-Home and Standard Office setting in Boston, MA. Some limited travel may be required.
