Software Engineer II - Human Factors Engineering / UX
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Design, Human Factors Engineering, Ergonomics, Usability Engineering or Cognitive Experimental Psychology from a reputed university is desired.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of Software industry experience.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- 5+ years of experience in Usability, UX of multiple product software and product development
- Strong experience with wireframing and graphic design tools
- Ability to develop design concepts integrating technical and aesthetic considerations
- Strong understanding of formal methods to assess and improve usability and error prevention mechanisms, IEC and FDA Usability Standards such as IEC 62366 and FDA Guidance on Usability for medical devices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and thoroughness
- Demonstrated ability to complete complex technical tasks on time, with high-quality documentation
- Able to participate in late evening and/or early morning calls
- Strong work ethic and initiative in accomplishing objectives, and delivering in ambiguous environments.
Preffered Skills/Competencies:
- Experience in conducting Usability tests in simulated conditions and providing recommendations
- Experience with preparing Usability documents for regulatory submission
