Senior R&D Engineer
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- 4+ years of experience with Bachelors Degree OR 2+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree
Nice to Have
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technically related degree – Mechanical Engineering preferred
• 4+ years of engineering experience
2+ years of medical device experience – preferably trauma, orthopedics, or dental
• Proficiency with CREO, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD program
• Proficiency with drawing standards including GD&T and tolerance stacks
• In-depth knowledge of Spinal anatomy relative to surgical procedures for specific products.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work cooperatively with others as a lead member of a team.
• Demonstrated experience sharing information, status, needs, and issues with others in order to inform, gain input, and support decision-making.
• Expertise in medical device development (spine or ortho) and related processes.
• Equipment and tooling design for new products.
• Experience with material processing and testing: Titanium, Cobalt Chrome, Stainless Steel
• Deep manufacturing knowledge of machining and 3D printing.
• Experience working in a FDA regulated and/or medical device environment with ISO and Quality System Regulation requirements
