Senior Network Engineer

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree required in Computer Science/Engineering or technically related
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Specialized Knowledge Required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall software development methods. 
• Understanding of IPSec configuration and troubleshooting issues
• Ability to understand the end to end flow for unique software applications
• Experience with configuration and management of routers and switches
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting VPN's, firewalls, and wireless technologies
• Well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multi-protocol routers, multi-layer switches, wireless, network security devices and network management systems
• Experience of WAN acceleration technologies, network security tools and processes
• Previous IoT support experience with cellular communication
• Ability to work with engineering and architecture teams to drive operational risk out of future designs and implementations
• Knowledge and experience in Red Hat Linux, Juniper and f5 Load Balancing including ASM (Application Security Module)

• Proficiency working in a team environment
• Strong Leadership skills and mentoring capabilities
• Experience working in an IT or carrier operational environment
• Basic programming skills in one or more scripting languages such as python, powershell, perl, bash, etc.
• General experience using API and CICD driven mechanisms for provisioning and controlling network environments
• Basic understanding of cellular technology infrastructure as it pertains to IoT devices.
• Experience in web based technologies, ex. HTML5, Javascript, CSS, Cordova, Xamarin, Angular
• Experience in Open Source development platform/tools, ex. Eclipse
• Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio development platforms/tools, Microsoft TFS, Microsoft Azure
• Experience working within a regulated environment.
