A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Bring world class skills to lead and direct one or more project teams engaged in global initiatives across Functional, Regional, and
- Business Units; bring to realization data products and capabilities to propel Medtronic forward.
- Engaging a diverse set of stakeholders and leaders throughout the project lifecycle; ensure clear understanding of timelines, challenges, and value.
- Utilizing entrepreneurship mindset to take an idea or objective from initiation to closure; managing all aspects to successfully accomplish the goals.
- Accountable for the successful implementation of the outcomes derived through the change through effective organization and leadership, business case and benefits management, stakeholder management, risk management and issue resolution, planning and control, change management and quality management.
- Ensuring alignment of the project to all Corporate and IT policies and standards; protecting the integrity of Medtronic and its Patients.
- Responsible for effectively managing the constraints of project management: Scope, Cost, Schedule.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance and recommendations to leadership governance bodies.
- Keeps current on advances and best practices in project management methodologies.
- Prepare and deliver regular status reports, executive summaries, and presentations. Maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Monitor stakeholder satisfaction, solicit feedback, and implement improvements to meet or exceed expectations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, considering resource allocation, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Engage and collaborate with external vendors, contractors, or consultants for project-related activities. Conduct vendor evaluations, ensure contract compliance and manage relationships.
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and 9+ years of experience
- -Or- Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience
- Prior experience managing data services and data platform related projects within an IT organization.
- Prior experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools and techniques.
- High degree of interpersonal skills; written, oral, and presentations
- Experience working in a Global environment; including integrated employee and vendor teams.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
- Previous Medtronic experience
- Work experience in the Medical Device Industry, or other regulated industry
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional certification
- Scrum Master experience
- Demonstrated experience understanding and executing the full lifecycle management of a data product.
- Prior experience with data governance, data modeling, data integration, data quality, and data security practices.
- Experience working in hybrid environments; Cloud and On-Prem.
- High degree of ‘learning agility’ with the ability to readily consume and apply new information and concepts with developed analytical problem-solving skills.
