Senior IT Manager – Enterprise Data
Having access to common sets of data, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and visualizations across Finance and Commercial functions is key to allowing Medtronic to Run, Grow, and Innovate. As the Senior IT Manager - Data Engineering, you will drive the implementation of foundational data to support various functions. You will cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders to successful implement Cloud Based technologies to acquire, process, and store data to meet a variety of data latency requirements to enable Data as a Service (Daas) and Analytics as a Service (AaaS).

A Day in the Life
· Collaborate and align with DS&P leaders on project portfolios to ensure proper staffing in skills and capacity.
· Ensure resources project deliverables are on time with first time quality.
· Ensure project escalations are managed in coordination with the project manager.
· Provide mentorship in architecture and development to individual contributors.
· Manage a team of resources to meet organization objectives, project deliverables, and personal growth.
· Collaborate with DS&P leaders on performance of the organization and resources; creating roadmaps for the centers capabilities.
· Socialization and communication of organizational strategies and status of execution.
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 17+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 15+ years of experience with an advanced degree
- 7+ years of managerial experience, which includes goal settings and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills

- Building high performance, motivated and innovative team culture by leading with empathy
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
- 17+ years of IT experience
- 10+ years demonstrable hands-on experience in application development, data warehouse and analytics solution architecture & delivery, and operations management
- Expert level technical skills in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Platforms, Data Pipelines, and Integration Tools
- Expert level technical skills in SAP HANA, SAP BW, Oracle, Hadoop, Informatica, and IRS.
- Strong Unix/Linux skills, including shell scripting
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud and cloud-based PaaS data stores such as Snowflake, DBT, AWS, and IICS
- 7+ years of people leadership experience including IT strategies, planning, change management, and stakeholder management
- Thought leader who can see the big picture and is endlessly curious and a natural problem solver. Ability to serve as the technical leader and mentor to a group of internal and external technical SME’s
- Extensive Agile development experience
- Ability to thrive and lead in an ever changing and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Self-driven, independent, and strong leader who can deliver extraordinary outcomes from global teams comprising of internal employees, product vendors and third-party service providers
- Strong Business Relationship Management, Vendor Management, Negotiation, written and verbal communication skills
