Nice to Have
• Basic understanding of environmental programs such as hazardous waste, air permitting and waste water, and may include occasional industrial hygiene monitoring for airborne contaminants, noise, radiation, etc.
• Strong project and program management skills and proven ability to develop and lead cross-functional teams to achieve results.
• Able to successfully manage multiple projects and daily responsibilities
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with Environmental programs such as hazardous waste and AQMD
• Experience with Machine guarding, laser safety, LOTO, hot work programs
• Experience with Environmental sustainability initiatives in a corporate environment
• Experience with Industrial Hygiene assessments
• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
• Medical Device or other FDA regulated industry experience
• Current DOT, HAZWOPER, CA Hazardous Waste training
• Able to work in relative independence and work well as part of a close-knit team of professionals.
• Able to use judgment in data analysis to develop and design solutions to resolve intricate EHS regulatory and technical issues.
• The ability to interact and build relationships with people at all levels and communicate sensitive and complicated issues seamlessly to a diverse worker population.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to a diverse worker population.
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field (chemistry, biology, environmental, safety, etc.) with training in core Environmental, Health and Safety disciplines.
- 4+ years of relevant experience with Bachelors Degree OR Master of Science Degree in Environmental, Health, Industrial Safety (or related technical field) with 2 plus years of relevant experience.
