- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
- A bachelor's degree in in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent degree and 10+ years of professional work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Solid design and advanced programming skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance.
- Experience educating, coaching and mentoring others in agile teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build consensus and establish common goals.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in C++11 (or newer), Object-Oriented Design and Analysis, with the use of UML required.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and interface design, including software as a part of high-reliability, high-availability medical device systems required.
- Experience working in an Agile development with continuous integration solutions, such as Atlassian suite, CI/CD, and Git strongly preferred.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting strongly preferred.
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and unit test automation strongly preferred.
- Experience with multi-threaded, distributed real-time software development.
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python is a plus.
- Experience with data engineering is a plus.
- Experience performing risk management analysis of software (e.g. SW FMEA).
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems such as QNX.
- Familiarity with RTI DDS and other common networking protocols.
