- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Job Competencies:
- Medical device industry experience including design controls, quality system regulations and product development processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in an ambiguous environment
- Experience with Electro-mechanical Medical Device Design (Optical and/or Imaging)
- Experience with navigating Quality Systems and working with Contract Manufacturers
- Understanding and experience in design, development, and testing of electromechanical medical devices
- Experience with product concept development, customer interaction, electromechanical design, systems engineering and validation of customer needs/design requirements
- Demonstrated ability to assess the feasibility of emerging technologies through research and prototyping
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements management and medical device regulation
- Demonstrated strength in building strong relationships at all levels of the organization, cross-functionally, and with key people external to the organization
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) or Design, Reliability & Manufacturability (DRM) certification
- Practical knowledge of project management.
- Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication, judgment, decision making, and critical thinking
