As a Senior FEA Engineer of the MEIC, you will collaborate with the Product Development & engineering teams globally. You will be working as a part of a team to design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development.
- Senior FEA Engineer should have very good knowledge on product development process.
- Should to be capable of working as an individual contributor to deliver on specific work packages while working with the departmental FEA team for collective knowledge sharing and development.
- Should have good working knowledge of Modeling & Simulation sofware such as ANSYS, Hypermesh etc.
- Should have a good understanding of CAD Modeling & Detailing Standards ( as per ASME)
- Should have a good understanding of prototype development and testing standards ( as per ASTM)
- Should have good experience and strong knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, composites) along manufacturing process knowledge.
- The candidate shall be able to use computational modelling to provide technical understanding for concept down select, design optimisation and design failure analyses.
- The candidate shall be responsible for recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems based on computational data. Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
- The candidate must be able to communicate well with cross-functional team members, be able to efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community.
Must-Have :
- Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within Finite Element Analysis typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Requires a university degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree (PhD) with 3 years of experience.
- Hands on experience with Modeling & Simulation tools such as ANSYS, Hypermesh, NASTRAN etc.
- Very good verbal communications to interact with global partners .
Nice to Have :
- Medical Device Experience
- Master Degree or PHD.
