Principal IT Developer
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our Global IT Connected Care team. We drive software application design, development, deployment and support for internal stakeholders and external users. As Principal IT Developer on the Connected Care team, you will lead many aspects of application design, guide and participate in development of and maintain applications on multiple platforms. You will follow the Agile Methodology to develop great applications, facilitate support and to improve development team processes. You will partner with colleagues and other stakeholders including developers, testers, analysts, users and management to ensure all aspects of software projects are successful. This role will focus on developing and implementing connected care solutions that serve our patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. You will work on a variety of software languages including Node.JS, and Typescript.
A Day in the Life
· Node.JS
· Experience with networking stack(s)
· Experience with RESTful APIs and Microservces
· Experience integrating 3rd-party SDKs
· Architect, design, develop and modify production and proof-of-concept apps for Android and other emerging platforms
· Experience connecting to Webservices / data transport (JSON, XML, etc.)
· Provides patches, fixes and upgrades to existing systems
· Follow SDLC principles and specific process used by team
· Follow Agile methodology
· Work independently to explore and master new technologies
· Provide advanced knowledge of development tools and execute with strong decision making and problem solving skills
· Support and plan process improvements for the team
· Contribute to the translation of functional business requirements to technical solutions and articulate these solutions to high-level audiences
· Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation
· Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards
· Support the design of Graphical User Interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users
· Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs

Education Required
· Bachelor's degree
· 8+ years of IT experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
· 6+ years of IT experience with a Master’s Degree
· Experience with mobile application design and development experience
· Experience working on Enterprise mobile or cloud applications / solutions
Nice to Have· FDA & Regulated mobile medical app development experience.
· Usage of common mobile device management tools
· Self directed / self motivated / self starter; not easily blocked by barriers often presented by large corporations and complex projects
· Experience developing web services and working with backend database systems
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with proven ability to effectively communicate to all management levels
