This position is for an IT Developer role assigned to Medtronic Owned NGC Medical S.r.L (Organization part of Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions Organization. NGC IT Organization is part of Medtronic Global IT and provides support to all main systems used by NGC Medical.
The NGC IT Team is composed of internal IT professionals. All IT solutions, either internally developed or developed with external partners' support, are designed to grant operational efficiency of key functions like Production, Warehousing, Customer Service, Sales Operations, Finance, Accounting… In addition to this, the NGC IT organization contributes to providing digital solutions for Integrated Health Solutions managed services or projects.
A Day in the Life
We offer you a position in a very dynamic team where you will:
• Be responsible for evaluating and designing, developing or modifying programs for internal functional areas.
• Analyze existing programs and/or formulate logic for new systems.
• Develop system design documentation including GUI (Graphical User Interface) design, if required), perform coding, and test/debug programs.
• Create ad hoc or bolt-on programs for integrations or functional business teams as needed.
• Develop conversion and system implementation plans and prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
• Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
• Train users in system enhancements and modifications and provide patch and software upgrades to existing systems as required.
• Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation for program support.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Must Haves
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent related fields) and 3+ years of working experience
• Fluent in Italian and Intermediate English knowledge
• Working experience with REST API, HTML, JavaScript/CSS, ASP.NET and SQL (Structured Query Language) databases
• Experience with C# and Web Based Application development
• Comfortable multitasking, resolving competing priorities, and meeting project deadlines
• Experience in the applications development and support of integrated business and systems architecture
Nice to Haves
• SW (software) version control systems (i.e. MS DevOps or GIT (a specific sw version control system)
• Knowledge of IT solutions supporting Healthcare and/or Medical Devices (i.e. HL7)
• Knowledge in business process definition, requirements definition and technology solution research
• Knowledge of analytics platforms and best practices (i.e. MS PowerBI Analytics knowledge, development on MS SQL Server SSIS/SSAS (SQL Server Integration Services/ SQL Server Analysis Services)
• Knowledge of Cloud based IT Systems and Solutions
• Goal oriented, task driven decision-making with a strong sense of accountability
