EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree engineering, information technology or relevant technical field
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
• 10 plus years of experience in the Medical Device, Healthcare IT or Software Industry
• 5 Plus years of cross functional Project or Program Management experience in a leadership capacity. Experience implementing Software/IT related solutions.
• 5 years of experience leading others in a matrixed environment (supervisory, managerial experience)
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced technical degree and/or MBA
• Experience leading software related programs of medium to high complexity. Strong project management skills; knowledge of process and project planning best practices.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
• Strong business acumen, ability to think and act from an overall “best for the business” perspective.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness -- ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of management and employees.
• Proven ability to deliver results in a matrix organization and work collaboratively and effectively with Medtronic leadership, customers, and across organizational boundaries.
• Influence management skills; ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment to balance and minimize business and legal risks.
• Detail oriented with a relentless focus on cost, scope and schedule.
• Demonstrated ability to show high integrity and gain the respect of peers and subordinates
• Strong analytical, planning, organization and time management skills to effectively develop and execute comprehensive programs and budgets
• Demonstrates initiative; results oriented; strong sense of urgency.
• Lean Sigma or Six-Sigma training/experience
• Outsourcing experience
• Demonstrated ability to work in a virtual organization and still meet objectives
