You will be a part of the Early Feasibility and Sensors Technology center of expertise within the Technology and Innovation Department at the Bakken Research Center. We are a multicultural and multidisciplinary team of diverse scientists and engineers being the partner of innovation of several Operating Units (OUs) within Medtronic. 

A Day in the Life
Your role will have the following three main pillars: program management of the Center of Expertise, stakeholder engagement, and strategy.
 
Program Management
•    Lead team program with research teams to identify priorities and ensure timely completion of milestones with project leaders of the group. Financial management of the overall program with internal stakeholders.
•    Foster open communication and collaboration among team members, developing project timelines with project leaders, and other stakeholders.  At the same time provide regular updates on program progress, address any issues or concerns that arise, and facilitate effective communication across teams.
•    Leadership of identification and monitoring of external funding projects by European grants and other government subsidy programs, mainly ensuring compliance with funding bodies rules. 
•    Lead yearly budgeting cycle for Center of Expertise in collaboration with project leaders and internal partners of the organization.
•    Manage complex and diverse projects from initiation to closure, including planning, resource allocation, monitoring progress, and reporting milestones, problem solving and finance. This might include partnerships with (internal) CRO’s for early feasibility studies. 

Stakeholder Engagement
•    Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including researchers, faculty, funders, and partners.
•    Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster support, engagement, and advocacy for research initiatives within our department. 
•    Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact and account manager for key clients, nurturing relationships and addressing and following up on their needs.
•    Conduct regular check-ins with internal clients to gather feedback, identify opportunities for growth, and address any concerns.

Strategy
•    Partner with the Center of Expertise leader to develop and implement strategic plans for research programs in collaboration with operating units for scientific and engineering project acquisition.

Must Haves 
•    Master's in science or engineering
•    PMI (Project Management Institute) certification or related proven certification
•    Experience with managing European grants 
•    Self-driven, creative, and accountable
•    At least 4+ year’s experience in project planning, execution, and monitoring
•    Min 2 years of Experience managing a technical program
•    Proficient in data analysis for informed decision-making
•    High level of flexibility and ability to adapt
•    Strong upstream communication and accountability in escalation situations
