R&D Program Manager
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or adjacent discipline
- 7+ years of relevant experience driving product development/ verification projects with bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
Nice to Have
- Project management and/or technical leadership experience in a stage-gate system with international teams and engineering service providers
- Master’s degree in Engineering and/or MBA. PMP Certification is a plus
- Excellent project management and organization skills including clear goals/milestones setting, detailed planning/organizing teamwork, diligent monitoring/tracking progresses and managing dynamic changes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including management of expectations, and relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and influence skills including efficient collaboration, effective negotiation, timely conflict resolution, and creative problem solving of difficult situations such as resource constraints, ambiguous/conflicting requirements, and other road-blocks
- Must have leadership skills and experience managing complex technology development projects and cross functional teams.
- Technically savvy; must be able to discuss, understand and make decisions regarding a wide array of engineering disciplines and complex technical/logistical issues.
- Must possess courage and confidence in managing risks and making decisions that will likely have a large impact on organizational objectives.
- Expert-level skills using the tools and techniques of Project Management.
- Experience in successfully leading a medical device project from concept to market in FDA regulated industry is a plus
- Works independently; self-directed
- Travel < 15%
