Qualifications
Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant studies and a minimum of 15 years’
experience in relevant work.
Nice to Have:
Preferred Architectural Leadership Experience:
A proven leader of innovation on multiple, multidisciplinary projects in a regulated industry (medical device products involving low latency visualization highly preferred)
Experience developing and documenting system architectures for complex visualization systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate, influence, and inspire others around a vision of the future
Proven ability to translate high level program objectives into action plans for an R&D team in order to meet short- and long-term goals and timelines
Well-developed collaboration skills with proven track record of interfacing between multiple groups and functions (R&D, QA, operations, marketing, regulatory, and external experts)
Experience with business development and defining a product roadmap for future growth of a multidisciplinary platform
Experience building, leading and managing small development teams, including hiring, establishing team priorities, and developing individual technical contributors
Patient centric mindset with a strong desire to improve clinical outcomes
Preferred Technical Experience:
Detailed understanding of visualization and image processing hardware – including stereoscopic imagers using various video formats, high bandwidth transmission of video via copper and fiber, FGPAs, GPUs, and 3D displays
Understanding of critical performance specifications for visualization systems and techniques and test methods to evaluate them
Demonstrated use of traditional image processing methods, as well as, machine learning enabled techniques using parallel processing techniques optimized for use on FPGAs and GPUs
Understanding of SW development, dataflow architectures and real-time operating systems
Working knowledge of medical imaging modalities and imaging formats that can be used for advanced procedures and image-guided surgery
Experience with following processes and creating documentation within a quality management system, including design descriptions, risk management, requirements, and verification / validation.
