Must Have: Minimum Requirements 
EDUCATION REQUIRED:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years’ experience in export, international trade and/or export trade law or compliance with Bachelor’s Degree; or, 3+ years’ experience with an advanced degree
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of Bureau of Industry and Security laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge and experience in export compliance, policies, audit procedures, HTS classification and ECCN
  • Program or project management experience
  • Experience implementing and overseeing compliance with antiboycott procedures and processes
  • Familiarity with conduct and language that is prohibited and/or reportable in accordance with U.S. Antiboycott Laws.
  • Understanding of HTS and ECCN 
  • Understanding of U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) CROSS system application
  • Experience working with other government agencies, especially BIS and similar agencies globally 
  • Familiarity with 31 Code of Federal Regulations (31 CFR)
  • Familiarity with 15 Code of Federal Regulations (15 CFR)
  • Experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
Nice to Have 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Prior corporate legal experience
  • Experience in dangerous goods/hazardous materials transportation regulations
  • Familiarity with the Tax Reform Act (TRA)
  • Familiarity with 19 Code of Federal Regulations (19 CFR)
  • Problem solving, innovation, critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience in global markets and matrixed organizations
  • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) is a plus
  • Trade expert, with demonstrated expertise in both import and export Compliance.
  • Self-motivated and possess ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Experienced in data analytics
  • Experience in developing project plans, meeting deadlines and managing diverse stakeholders
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, shifting priorities
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
  • Detail oriented, quick learner, well-organized and able to process large volumes of data and information
  • High proficiency with MS Excel – data analysis, VLOOKUP, data manipulation, pivot tables, formulas and macros
  • Proficiency with SharePoint and other web-based platforms
  • U.S. Licensed Customs Broker and/or Certified Export Specialist
  • Understanding of 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
  • Ability to work with middle and upper management to meet expectations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective time management/prioritization skills
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
