This position has the responsibility and authority to drive, create and deliver service instructions for global field and depot service employees. This individual will be primarily responsible for creating and revising technical service content for cardiac surgery products.
This position is based in Brooklyn Park, MN and is required to be on-site as needed. Remote applicants will not be considered.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Plans, develops, writes, and edits detailed technical instructions for Service & Repair technicians
• Produces PDF and HTML/web-based publications using a variety of tools
• Works with users, subject matter experts, and technical staff to gather data for documentation
• Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for highly technical and less technical users
• Documents engineering processes and specifications
• Recommends formats responsive to technical and user requirements
• Produces products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required, Technical writing or Engineering preferred
· Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in medical device
• Comfortable working with topic-based authoring in a content management system, specifically MadCap Flare
• Experience writing materials for Service & Repair for complex, large-capital equipment, cardiac equipment preferred
• Able to work in the Adobe Creative Suite applications and Adobe FrameMaker
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Agile or Windchill
• Comfortable in a hybrid work environment, able to be in our Brooklyn Park facility as frequently as needed
• Able to work standard working hours
