POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engage with the Technical Sourcing Specialist (TSS) in mid Development phase to identify & document unique components/assemblies & remaining sourcing risk
Track clinical & product launch portfolio timing & identify all models to be built & sold
Facilitate extraction of Project BOMs (Final Assembly & End item) by mfg location
Lead detailed BOM reviews identifying & tracking risk component actions to ensure mitigation
Ensure clinical & global market launch volume/timing is communicated and understood by  the entire supplier network via ERP/MRP systems within 12 months of 1st implant and initial market release
Validate visibility of the holistic BOM requirements throughout the global launch process,  take the lead to ensure issues are mitigated
Lead critical materials & risk mitigation reviews as needed
Communicate weekly Sourcing Launch Risk Level to Sourcing Mgt & Key stakeholders
Assure high volume mfg sites are ready to accept component transfers for receiving, inspecting, and first time ordering so as not to disrupt supply
Identify model phase out plans & assure accurate system requirements signals are visible to buyers and planners to minimize obsolescence. Use same BOM Query tool & tracking process that is used for Launch.
Participate on CTOR operations extended team as sourcing representative from Development Evaluation thru Global Market Release Phases
Work with Category Management to identify volume changes for impacted materials to allow for capacity readiness/negotiations of new items as well as impact to legacy materials
Work with Global Supply Chain Phase Out team to identify BOMs for high level phase out and work with procurement/Category Management teams to correctly communicate with suppliers and drive out excess inventory

Basic Qualifications:
Experience and skills (experience /qualifications):

Required:
7-10 years sourcing or planning experience 
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
Strong highly effective leadership & program/project management skills
Analytical & problem solving
Conflict resolution & decision making
Work across multiple functions, influencer, and team builder

Preferred:
MBA
Lean/Six Sigma implementation experience 
Strong presentation skills
Influence skills in a Matrix environment
Working expertise with JDE/SAP planning systems
7+ years experience in Planning and/or Sourcing
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Medium working knowledge in Excel to manipulate demand and inventory data
Product lifecycle management – concepts, processes, challenges from Development to sunset of products.
