- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering
- Experience with Human Factors/Usability in medical devices and familiarity with existing I.E.C. Usability standards, AAMI Human Factors standards, and/or F.D.A. Human Factors Guidance
- Experience with Human Factors or User-centered design methodologies, including generative research, user needs assessment, design concepts, and usability evaluations in support of product development
- Experience with risk management activities applied by Human Factors to medical devices (e.g., UEA, AFMEA, UFMEA, U.R.A. techniques)
- Prototyping skills (Axure or similar)
- Able to learn and become a domain expert
- Excellent 3D perception
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Nice to Have
- Masters' degree in Human Factors or related field
- Experience interacting with F.D.A. and other regulatory bodies in the context of new product approval submissions and/or audits desired
- Industrial Design or mechanical background
- Experience working in a global environment
Some travel required, including internationally – up to 25%.
