Software Dev Ops Engineer I
You will be a key contributor as a Software DevOps Engineer on the Core R&D DevSecOps team supporting both the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health operating units we strive to automate and optimize our development, testing and lab services. You will help to design and run a well-organized medical device lab in collaboration with our testing teams to ensure that we are delivering the highest quality Medtronic Neuroscience products and technologies.

This position is in the Neuroscience portfolio group working on mobile and web applications serving deep brain stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, sacral neural stimulation, and targeted drug delivery therapies.
A Day in the Life
- Field and prioritize a wide variety of work requests from a large software development and test team
- Maintain existing software and firmware test nodes ‘online’ status in both Jenkins and Gitlab for Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health therapy groups
- Setup and configure new software and firmware test nodes for all Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health therapy groups utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Create and approve GitLab pull requests
- Reset and configuration of Android and iOS Tablet/Handsets
- Configure and upgrade/downgrade operating systems
- Update firmware on both Internal Neuromodulation Simulators (INS) and telemetry and BLE communicators
- Order and ship lab equipment and equipment to both overseas and local locations
- Manage and update lab equipment inventory and tracking
- Develop lab work instructions and checklists to maintain lab operability
- Bachelors degree in a tech related field such as software or electrical engineering required
- 0 years of experience required
- Programming experience - Java, Python, Groovy, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift
- Version control experience, particularly in Git
- Basic electronics knowledge and troubleshooting
- Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP)
- Electronic test and measurement equipment communication
- General RF, BLE, and wireless telemetry communication understanding
- Strong trouble shooting, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to create, configure, modify, run, and maintain Jenkins jobs and GitLab pipelines
- Ability to create, update, build and deploy Docker images
