Senior Technical Writer- Boxborough, MA
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Plans, develops, writes, and edits detailed technical instructions for Service & Repair technicians
• Produces PDF and HTML/web-based publications using a variety of tools
• Conducts interviews with various users, subject matter experts and technical staff to gather data for documentation.
• Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for highly technical and less technical users.
• May document engineering processes and specifications.
• Recommends formats responsive to technical and user requirements.
• Produces products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards.
- Bachelors degree required, Technical writing or Engineering preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in medical device
• Comfortable working with topic-based authoring in a content management system, specifically MadCap Flare
• Able to work in the Adobe Creative Suite applications and Adobe FrameMaker
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Agile or Windchill
• Experience writing materials for Service & Repair for complex, large-capital equipment
• Comfortable in a hybrid work environment, able to be in our Boxborough facility as frequently as needed
• Able to work standard working hours

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
