Senior Software Engineer - Integration - Surgical Robotics
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience with Linux, shell scripting, software installation, QNX and/or knowledge of C, C++, Python
- Knowledge of relevant technologies including:
- Mechatronics / Robotics
- Mechanical and electrical interfaces
- Communication protocols (Ethernet, I2C, UART, SPI)
- Sensors, actuators, controllers
- Kinematics of mechanisms
- Vision and display systems
- Electromechanical devices controlled by software
- Understanding of system reliability testing, service support and/or design for manufacturing
- Capability to process and trend data to drive decision making and prioritization
- Medical device development experience
- Knowledge of medical product R&D and clinical/regulatory process
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated skills in managing priorities and coordinating team activities
- Experience working with multiple teams on concurrent, interdependent projects
- Fluency in English
- Prior work experience in system-level product development, full-lifecycle engineering programs and development of product development processes, especially complex electromechanical systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, documentation, rigorous verification, etc.), engineering verification test development and execution
Working Conditions
Based in Boston, MA USA ,standard office setting, clean room, surgical lab, operating room, pilot lab, external research organizations, supplier visits
Travel and flexible hours as needed.
