Senior Software Engineer (m/w/d) Surgical Robots – Testability Expert – Wessling, Germany
- Bachelor or preferably Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Background in embedded software development in C++ or C.
- Experience in software verification
- Basic understanding of standard OS features (e.g. threading and concurrency, memory management, device drivers, I/O, etc.). Experience with real-time operating systems is a plus
- Fluent in English – written and spoken. German at least on conversational level
- Ability to travel for a few weeks per year

Nice to Haves
- Experience in Linux, Windows application programming and scripting
- Embedded programming experience
- Coding skills in Python
- Significant C++ 11 skills.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
- Know-how with software infrastructure development to support data logging, network communication, software installation, network configuration, etc.
- Know-how in field-bus technology (EtherCAT preferred), standard embedded communication protocols (SPI, I2C, AXI, UART, etc.), communication middleware (e.g. DDS)
- Familiarity with Agile software development processes
- Experience implementing software for medical products under ISO 62304 or other regulated industry.
Working Conditions
Standard Office setting in Wessling, near Munich and Work-from-Home. Some limited travel may be required.
