Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • JD from accredited U.S. law school and admission to state bar
  • 8+ years’ legal experience
Nice to Have
  • Admission to California State Bar
  • 8+ years of experience working in a large law firm and/or in-house for a medical device, healthcare, or life sciences corporation with relevant experience as a corporate / commercial / healthcare attorney.
  • 5+ years of experience working with advising corporate clients on a variety of complex commercial issues and/or commercial contracts.
  • Experience with complex contracts (e.g., strategizing, structuring, negotiating, implementing).
  • Experience providing strategic counsel on partnerships, marketing, and product development.
  • Experience with pharmacy channel, government healthcare programs and commercial insurance providers.
  • Experience with privacy laws, HIPAA and data protection requirements.
  • Experience with FDA and healthcare and/or healthcare law, including Federal Healthcare Fraud and Abuse Laws (including False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Civil Monetary Penalties Law).
  • Experience advising senior level executives (Senior Directors, VPs, and above).
  • The ideal candidate is a clear and independent thinker with superior communication skills capable of inspiring the trust and confidence of client groups and cross-functional business partners at all levels.
