This can include anything from small project execution to resolve a quality issue, to complex projects like implementing a new transportation management system or implement a new distribution center with automations.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with expertise SAP Distribution and Transportation to join our dynamic team, with a primary focus on Japan as well as the APAC region. Your primary responsibility will be consulting with business stakeholders to understand and evaluate current business processes and turning those into system requirements. As a Senior IT Business Analyst you will also provide technical expertise for system functional specifications and you will deploy new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner. You may also configure system settings, plan and execute unit, system and integration tests and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

A day in the life.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
· Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions
· Coaches and review work of lower level specialists; May manage projects / processes
· May be responsible for entire projects or processes related to our Japan Distribution and Transportation stakeholders
· Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments
· Problems and issues faced are difficult and may require understanding of multiple issues, other areas or specialties
· Makes improvements of processes and systems to enhancement performance
· Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements
· Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors
· Exchange of information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making
· May manage projects, require delegation of work and review of others’ work product.
· Manages proper validation documentation is delivered for every product according to Medtronic standards.
Experience and Knowledge:
· At least 5 years of IT or related experience with B.A or B.S.
· Japanese and English fluency, both speaking and writing at high business level
· Experience of being a team member of SAP ERP implementation projects preferred
· Solid understanding of the SAP solution delivery processes and the related transport processes
· Solid understanding of SAP warehousing and distribution processes including shipping
· General understanding of supply chain process
· Experience in business process definition, requirements definition and technology solution research
· Experience facilitating small to large groups through challenging discussions

Experience and Knowledge:
· Knowledge of project management
· Experience within healthcare, life science or other regulated industries is a plus
· Experience working within globally distributed teams with many cultures.
Qualifications:
· A relevant Bachelor qualification
· General understanding of IT infrastructure tools, technologies, concepts, and nomenclature
Other Comments or Requirements:
· Office location, Shinagawa, Tokyo and office commute is required 2-3 times a week.
· Overseas travel will be required, depend on specific project requirements.<5% of time.
