Medtronic Facilities function is transforming and we have a brand new role for a Senior Facilities Supervisor based in our Sydney Head Office! You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing Global Facilities Standardization strategies across ANZ region. This is an excellent role for an individual who will enjoy driving change, building efficiencies and aspiring to lead!


A Day in the Life


An exciting brand new role for a Senior Facilities Supervisor to provide leadership and strategic direction to the facilities team responsible for the ANZ commercial offices. This role requires strong collaboration and partnership with the APAC Facilities team. This is an onsite role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategic Medtronic Facility Operations & to develop Real Estate capital strategy;
  • Own and manage the delivery of workplace services (additions & alterations, soft & hard services, space management);
  • Develop and manage both facilities CAPEX and OPEX expenses budget, forecasting, variance reporting and accrual management;
  • Explore and implement efficient ways to improve facilities services through technology;
  • Drive vendors performance to achieve cost efficiency through partnership with Indirect Sourcing team;
  • Develop and maintain regional regional procedures in alignment with global policies related to, for example, Energy Management, security, environmental protection, technical building requirements, office space, design and facility services.
  • Work as part of the Corporate Team to execute on the strategy and participate/ lead cross functional teams to deliver on the goals and objectives for the region;
  • Support and mentor the regional site Facilities leads to develop common or standardized work methodologies. Using industry best practices and benchmarks measure and report any gaps at regular intervals;
  • Work with Medtronic external partners and suppliers to deliver Facilities and Real Estate services
  • Active participation through collaboration with Global Facilities Real Estate team on regional capital projects from inception, design development, vendors selection, construction delivery to project closure;
  • Be the mentor to the current Facilities team thru coaching and professional development training as needed.


Must-Have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, facilities, engineering or hospitality
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Computer literacy iwith a good knowledge of MS Office suite of software
  • Good understanding on the Real Estate Principles and its dynamics in a corporate environment
  • Ability to develop business case, and good presentation skills with strategic thinking
  • Possess good sense of urgency and critical thinking


Nice to Have:

  • Ability to read technical drawings, e.g. architectural, electrical, mechanical
  • Professional certifications e.g. CFM, MCR, IFMA etc
  • Experience in executing workplace change management, i.e. to Hybrid workstyle
