The Senior Country Director will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the Medtronic business in Russia. The role is responsible for achieving the commercial objectives, managing the P&L, building relationships with key customers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services to the market.
A Day in Life
• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Russia commercial organization.
• Develop and execute business plans for growth of the Russia market and the well-being of customers and patients.
• Analyze market trends and competition to identify business opportunities and develop new go-to-market strategies.
• Represent Medtronic in the local Market, responsible for establishing and managing strong relationships with key decision makers, government relations and ensuring legal compliance, reimbursement, and distribution strategies.
• Manage and implement the necessary transformation and change management strategies in areas such as talent management, territory alignment, sales and sales management practices.
• Partnering with the Businesses to implement market penetration strategies, identify key growth drivers and address market barriers.
• Engage and strengthen KOL relationships; provide focus/business alignment of local distributor partners and consultants.
• Validate and provide market intelligence data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Regulatory, and Quality to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services to the market.
• Work in conjunction with the local organizations and other shared services within Medtronic as well as within the business units to create and execute long term strategies that will drive the full potential of the business in the Russia healthcare market.
• The Sr. Director of Russia Commercial is a member of the Medtronic EMEA RLM Leadership Team and reports to the SVP, President EMEA RLM.
Must Haves
• High university degree in Business, Sciences and or related discipline. MBA / master’s in business or economics qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant solid sales/general management experience.
• Proven track record of achieving commercial targets and managing P&L.
• Advanced skills in strategic planning and execution.
• Ability to build and develop high performance and cohesive teams. Experience in leading and motivating a team of commercial professionals.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• System Thinking & Ability to make complex simple.
• Learning Agility.
• Familiarity with local regulations.
• Fluency in Russian and English.
• Ability to travel 50%+ of the time.
