Principal R&D Engineer- Surgical Robotics
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
- A minimum of Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a contributing member of engineering projects
- Experience with risk management process e.g. FMEA
- Experience with Agile, JIRA, and JAMA
- Advanced knowledge of system-level hardware and software design & development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk mitigation
- Proven track record contributing to products of high complexity
- Demonstrated skills in managing priorities
- Experience working with multiple teams on concurrent, interdependent projects
- Experience with relevant technologies including:
- Mechatronics
- Mechanical engineering (particularly high-accuracy motor-controlled mechanisms)
- Electrical engineering (particularly networked / embedded computing elements)
- Sensors and actuators
- Solid understanding of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, documentation, rigorous verification, etc.)
- Redundant and safety-critical systems
- ISO 60601, 62304, 14971. Well-versed in medical product R&D and clinical/regulatory process
- Fluency in English required
