The Principal Manufacturing Engineer works within our Instruments Service repair facility to ensure support for critical operational and quality objectives. The role interacts closely with Quality, Reliability, Released Product Engineering, contract manufacturers and international service centers. This position will require understanding of the product performance and the effects of the Service process on the product, while ensuring quality and compliance excellence.

Creation and maintenance of service level manuals and service center employee training documentation
• Bachelors degree required in engineering or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or an MS degree with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Device Manufacturing or other highly regulated environment.
• Certified in Lean / Six Sigma Methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in FDA regulated environment.
• Experience working with Quality System Process Documents.
• Experience understanding proper documentation/quality requirements for a regulated environment.
• Experience with process and equipment Validation and Qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV).
• Proficient with computer using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Experience reading & understanding assembly work instructions and engineering specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Experience with manufacturing systems such as SAP.
• Experience with preventative/corrective action process.
• Excellent data analysis skills, and proficient in the use of statistical tools in problem solving.
• Experience with project resource planning.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
